The MSTE Training is presented by Bellavista S.H.A.R.E., and focuses on the use of Multisensory Therapeutic Environments. It is a 3 day training followed by case based support, and is HPCSA accredited.
Course Outline:
- History of Issie Senses and the MSTE
- The physical environment (MSTE)
- Rational of treatment
- The “Enabling Therapist”
- Transferring principles to the outside world
- Sensory processing and sensory processing disorders
- Emotional therapy and family involvement
- Communication and speech
- Group therapy
- Assessment – from theory to practice
Post training support: 2 hours a month for 3 months following the course for each participating organisation/ private individual.
Each purchase of a Sensory Box unit for the purpose of use in Paediatric Therapeutic Sessions needs to include this add-on.
Preferred Add-On: MSTE Training
The training on the use of MultiSensory Therapeutic Environments is a key value add to train an enabling adult to use The Sensory Box and other sensory intervention tools effectively.
The course is presented by Bellavista S.H.A.R.E, and also includes a 3 month post-training support.
This training is compulsory with any purchase of The Sensory Box that will be used in paediatric therapeutic environments.
